About Sudhagad Trek

Sudhagad, also known as Bhorapgad, is a hill fort located in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It is a popular trekking destination known for its historical significance, panoramic views, and scenic beauty.

The fort stands at an elevation of approximately 620 meters (2,030 feet) above sea level and offers a captivating view of the surrounding landscapes. Sudhagad is renowned for its strong fortifications and architectural marvels.

Trekking to Sudhagad involves a moderate level of difficulty and can be completed within a day. The trek starts from a village called Thakurwadi and takes around 2-3 hours to reach the top. The trail comprises a combination of gradual ascents, rocky patches, and forested stretches.

As you ascend, you will come across various attractions on the fort. The main entrance, known as the Maha Darwaja, welcomes trekkers with its grandeur. There are also several bastions, watchtowers, and a Hanuman temple that add to the fort's historical charm.
