About Devkund
The Devkund Waterfall Trek is a popular trekking destination located in Maharashtra, India. It is known for its pristine natural beauty, scenic landscapes, and the captivating Devkund Waterfall.
Devkund Waterfall is a hidden gem nestled in the forests of Bhira village, near Tamhini Ghat. It is formed by the confluence of three streams and drops from a height of approximately 80 feet (24 meters), creating a picturesque cascade. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery, rocky terrain, and a pool of crystal-clear water at the base, making it a serene and refreshing sight.
The trek to Devkund Waterfall is moderately challenging and is suitable for both beginners and experienced trekkers. The trail takes you through dense forests, rocky pathways, river crossings, and small streams, offering a delightful journey amidst nature. The trek is particularly scenic during the monsoon seasonwhen the entire region comes alive with vibrant colors and gushing waterfalls.
The total trek distance is around 7 kilometers, and it takes approximately 2-3 hours to reach the waterfall from the base village. Base Village – Bhira, Maharashtra
Itinerary
Day 1:
Depart from Pune/Mumbai
Depart from Pune in Private Vehicle as per the group size.
Route & Pickup Point for Pune:
- • Pickup point – Meet at Ch. Shivajinagar Near Lokmangal Maharashtra Bank at 10:30 PM.
- • Multiple on route pickup point available.
- • Route will be Ch. Shivajinagar –> Aundh – Jagtap Dairy – Kokane Chowk – Nashik Phata – Bhosari – Bari Village (Kalsubai).

- • Catch 08:44 PM Fast Local from CSMT to Kasara & reach Kasara.

- • Freshen up and Start Trek.
- • 03:30AM – Start Trek.
- • 07:00AM – Reach the highest peak and watch magical sunrise.
- • 07:30AM – Breakfast at top.
- • 08:00AM – Start Descend.
- • 12:00PM – Reach Base village and have Lunch.
- • 02:30PM – Leave for Pune & Reach by 9 PM with full of Memories.
- • 02:30PM – Leave for Kasara by Jeep and then by local to Mumbai.
- • 05:00PM – Reach Kasara & take available local to Mumbai. (Arrival Time Depends on Pace of Group and Traffic)
