Day 2 :Arrival Delhi & Transfer to Haridwar by road

Meal - Dinner
• If you choose direct haridwar train - Reach haridwar &
checkin into the hotel. (Normal checkin time of hotels are 10
-11AM)
• via Delhi Route - On the second day of your journey, arrive
in Delhi and by a road transport (Public Transport Volvo
seating AC) to Haridwar.
• Once you arrive at the hotel in Haridwar, check in and spend
the rest of the day as you like.
• You could attend the Ganga Aarti at the Har ki Pauri Ghat in
the evening (on your own).
• Return to the hotel where you are staying at the end of a
peaceful and spiritual day, and unwind there for the evening.
Day 3 : Haridwar to Guptakashi/Sitapur/Sonprayag
Meal - Breakfast & Dinner.
• Wake up early in the morning.
• Start our Journey to Guptakashi/Sitapur/Sonprayag by
private vehichle as per the group size. (Car/Tempo
Traveler/Bolero).
• Breakfast on the way.
• You
’ll witness some spectacular view points like Dev Prayag,
Dhari Devi Temple etc.
• 231 km drive.
• Sonprayag’s altitude 6,000 feet.
• Accommodation and dinner in hotel at Guptakashi/ Sitapur/
Sonprayag.
Day 4: Guptakashi/Sitapur/Sonprayag to Gaurikund &then trek start to Kedarnath temple
Meal - Dinner.
• Mid-night wakeup call.
• Keep your Unwanted luggage in hotel.
• Show your yatra pass at sonprayag to authorities & wait for
taxi.
• Sonprayag to Gaurikund by taxi.
• Trek starts to Kedarnath Temple 25km (10-12 hours of
trekking)
•After reaching at Kedarnath Temple, if possible, visit the
temple or visit next day early in the morning.
• If you reach by 5:30PM you can take a part in Evening
Aarti.
• Dinner, accommodation in hotel for the night at Kedarnath.
Day 5 :Kedarnath temple to Gaurikund then drive to
Guptakashi/Sitapur/Sonprayag
Meal - Breakfast & Dinner.
• Early morning wake-up call.
• Visit Kedarnath Temple.
• Have breakfast and start descend.
• Trek back to Gaurikund (8-10 hours of trekking).
• After reaching Gaurikund, drive back to Sonprayag.
• Dinner, accommodation in hotel for the night at Sonprayag/Sitapur/Guptakashi.
Day 6 : Guptakashi/Sitapur/Sonprayag to Rishikesh.
Meal - Breakfast & Dinner.
• Wake up early in the morning.
• While our return journey will vist Dhara Devi Temple.
• Will stop at view point of Devprayag where Alaknanda and
Bhagirathi meets.
• Upon your arrival, check in to the hotel and get freshened up
to explore the beautiful place if we reach early.
• Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel in Rishikesh.
Day 7 : Explore Rishikesh. Overnight journey to Delhi.

- An empty tiffin box and spoon to have your meals since the usage of plastic vessels is not allowed on the trek.

If you are visiting Kedarnath, there are several things you
should keep in mind to ensure a safe visit.
Kedarnath is located in the Himalayan region, and the weather can be unpredictable.
The trek to Kedarnath involves a steep uphill climb. Ensure that you are in good health and have a moderate level of fitness before embarking on the journey.
Kedarnath is not a tour; it’s a Yatra, and for that, you’ll have to climb almost 30 km one way, which will take approximately 10 to 12 hours.
Once you reach the temple premises, you may need to join a queue to enter the sanctum and have darshan. The waiting time can range from a few minutes to several hours, depending on the crowd size and the time of your visit. During peak pilgrimage seasons, the waiting time can be 4 to 5 hours.
You have to apply for a yatra pass on your own. You can visit the official website of the Kedarnath Temple or our team will guide you.
The printed yatra pass serves as proof of your registration and eligibility for darshan. The authorities may require you to show the printed pass for verification purposes at different checkpoints along the trekking route or at the temple entrance.
Carry your own yatra pass print with you to obtain a token. You will typically need to present your printed yatra pass and follow the instructions provided by the authorities.
We don’t provide specific services or facilitate travel arrangements to reach the temple. To reach the Kedarnath Temple, you can consider the following options on your own:
Helicopter Services: Helicopter services are available from various locations to reach Kedarnath, such as Phata, Guptkashi, or Sersi. You can check heliyatra.itrctc.co.in for availability, schedules, and bookings.
Mules or Palanquins: Along the trekking route, you may find options to hire mules or palanquins (doli) to assist you in reaching the temple. These can be helpful if you have difficulty walking or prefer not to trek the entire distance.
For Abhishek (ritual bath) or Pooja (worship ceremony) at Kedarnath Temple, you have to make the reservation on your own. This may involve filling out a form, selecting the type of abhishek or pooja, providing the date and time preference, and making the payment at the counter which is near the temple.
During peak pilgrimage seasons, sometimes you may have to walk down from Sonprayag to Sitapur (2/3 km) due to traffic and parking issues.
In accordance with religious sentiments and practices, only vegetarian food is typically available and served during the yatra. This is to maintain the sanctity of the pilgrimage and to honor the beliefs of the devotees.

Meals
- •The meals that would be provided at Hotels are on a fixed
menu basis
- • Breakfast Menu: Tea/coffee, Paratha and curd, Poori Bhaji or
similar.
- • Dinner menu: Salad + 01 or 02 Veg + 01 Dal + Roti + Rice
- • Also note that serving of tea/coffee/snacks to the guest is at
the discretion of the hotel. As during the yatra season hotel
staff have long working hours and at times they are unable to
meet the demands of the yatri'
s. (Please note there could be
changes in menu depending availability of vegetables/
ingredients/raw materials)
Hotels
- • The hotels being provided in the itinerary are basic hotels in
places like Barkot, Uttarkashi and Kedarnath. Since these
hotels have very basic amenities you are advised not to expect
facilities like hotels in metro cities. In most of the places there
are hours of power cutting, thus you are advised to bear the
problem with us, however, hotels have power back up but for a
limited usage only. All the hotels do not have a bellboy facility
at times, clients may have to carry their own baggage to their
rooms from the parking/from the vehicles that are parked near
to the hotel. Hot water is being provided at specific timings
(Approx 5 AM Till 8 AM) of hotels only once during the day.
At certain hotels hot water may be provided with a bucket
only
- • In hilly areas, scarcity of water and electricity is a natural
phenomenon. To overcome the water crisis certain hotels have
fixed schedules for supplying hot and cold water. We strongly
regret the inconvenience and look forward to your cooperation.
- • Room up-gradation payable at the hotel directly.
- • Hotel / camps or any kind of accommodation can deny stay if
valid id proof is not provided. Company is not responsible for
any ID proof related issues.
- • It is presumed that the tourist is medically fit to undertake the
tour. If you have a certain kind of allergy (especially for food)
or any serious health issues, kindly inform us in advance.
- • Please be reminded that all special requests like early check-in,smoking, nonsmoking, views, floors, king, twin, adjoining and/orinterconnecting rooms are strictly subject to availability upon
arrival and cannot be guaranteed priorly. Any expenses arising
out of this is to be borne by the customer.
- • Most of the hotels do not have parking places and vehicles
cannot be parked in front of the gates for a longer period,
hence guests should wait at the reception 10 minutes before
the departure to avoid the inconveniences.
- • Many hotels charge extra for room heaters as the package
does not include the same, so customers need to settle directly
with the hotels
- •For an extra adult many hotels provide an extra mattress
instead of extra bed.
- • All hotels do not have lift facilities and the guest may have to
climb stairs. In case of guests having problems with blood
pressure, breathing, knee and heart, or if they cannot climb
the higher floors, we request you to update this at the time of
booking so that we may take appropriate action and try for
rooms on the Ground floor. This is again subject to availability
and DIFFERENCE IF ANY WILL HAVE TO BE SETTLED
DIRECTLY BEFORE CHECK OUT.
TRANSPORT
- • We would provide good vehicles, however, you are advised to
keep patience as drivers may not be able to drive fast due to
hilly terrain, bad roads, traffic etc. The parking lots at
Sonprayag, Phoolchatti are limited. You are advised to set up
the time and place with the driver to pick you up on your
return. Since we do not have good transport beyond Haridwar
and Rishikesh, it may take some time to replace vehicles and
you would have to travel on the alternate option provided by
us. At times you may have to pay directly on the spot to hire a
local vehicle in event of your transport vehicle breakdown.
Pilgrim vehicles after 8 PM are not allowed to run as per the
law of the state government.
- • In case clients get delayed due to whatsoever reason and
cannot reach the hotel booked for them, they would have to
stay at the nearest destination and no refund would be allowedfor unutilized services.
- • Due to vehicle-parking difficulty, most of the areas are
restricted to vehicle entry and specific time is allotted for
entries. Kindly follow the time strictly as given to you.
- • Book and Explore does not recommend or suggest night travel
owing to the risk factor. So if you have a transfer to another
destination in the second half, please adjust the time of your
morning sightseeing accordingly.
GENERAL INFORMATION -
- We have tried our best to provide all the information for Yatra. However, we reserve the right to change the program as per the requirement of clients and availability of accommodation and other reasons.
- Any amendment in the original booking has to be given to us in writing. All changes will be processed only after the receipt of the same by the Company.
- The program involves treacherous hill drives and clients have to be informed about the climatic conditions in Uttarakhand during Yatra, which can range from extreme heat to extreme cold. Also, during the Yatra season, due to heavy rush, there are a lot of traffic jams, diversions, and restrictions put by the authorities.
- During Yatra season, traffic is allowed on the roads from 5 AM till 8 PM, and thereafter, traffic is not allowed at all. In case passengers get delayed due to traffic congestion and landslides, which are beyond our control, they may not be able to reach the hotel booked for them and would have to bear the expenses of their stay for that night.
- Registration of Yatris is a must. Biometrics could be done at Haridwar/Rishikesh and also at other places en route. Registration could be done by the Yatri online as per the URL link given: https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in/
- The journey is subject to change often due to permits, weather, VVIP movement, or rush. These factors have sequential effects. Please cooperate with us and trust the Tour Leader to overcome the problem.
- Pilgrims have to bear the cost of changes due to any reasons beyond our control (medical, personal, weather, technical, political, etc.). These costs can include extra hotel nights, flight rescheduling, transport, etc.
- Due to any reason, if the vehicle breaks down due to technical reasons, we will try our best to arrange another vehicle as soon as possible for major problems. For minor problems that will not take much time, the vehicle will be repaired. Kindly cooperate.
- We shall not be responsible for any delays and alterations in the program or expenses incurred directly or indirectly due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accidents, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, closures/blockades due to political unrest, or any such incidents.
- At many tourist destinations/hill stations, some roads, shopping markets, or mall roads have "NO ENTRY" for all/some bigger tourist vehicles, depending on the destination, along with time restrictions. In this kind of situation, guests have to manage another available mode of transport with an additional cost and on a direct payment basis. This cost is not included in the ideal package inclusion.
- Vehicles will be permitted to use for sightseeing points on the route and inside the city limits or as mentioned in the itinerary. For additional sightseeing, off-route sightseeing, sightseeing not inside the city limits, or substitute sightseeing, kindly contact the company. Refund is not possible if any particular sightseeing point is not covered. In case you want some excursions, kindly inform the company in advance or discuss these things with the company rather than the driver.
- All nearby sightseeing points should be covered together. However, in case of some issues with a particular place, we can adjust.
- No cancellation or refund will be made if the situation is beyond our control, such as bad weather, landslides, climatic conditions, or any other natural disaster, fire, any embargo, acts or decisions of government, political or national crisis, roadblocks, heavy snowfall, acts of terrorism or other similar causes, strikes, or problems at airlines, rails, buses, hotels, or transporters, labor unrest, insolvency, business exigencies, operational and technical issues, route and flight cancellations, or any other issues that prevent the customer from reaching the destination and which are beyond our control.
- The company is not responsible for any accident, injury, death, or theft of person or property during the course of the tour.

- It is mandatory to carry a valid photo identity card (Passport / Driving License / Voter ID card).
- Book and Explore will not be responsible for any rescheduling of Flights and Hotel Accommodation for any of the above reasons. The guest will have to make payments on a direct basis.
- However, the Book and Explore team is there to assist you at all times.
- All sightseeing mentioned are subject to weather, traffic, or political conditions in the mentioned destination. The management has supreme and full authority to alter the itinerary due to any of the mentioned conditions.
- Book and Explore will not be responsible for any delay or cancellation of flights by airlines.
- Please take care of your personal belongings such as mobile, camera, cash, credit cards, etc. Book and Explore will not be responsible for the loss of items.
- In case guests have to extend their stay due to bad weather conditions, political instability, etc., they will have to make direct/additional payment for the same. The Book and Explore team is there to assist you at all times.
